Biography

Todd Christopher Young is an American politician and attorney who serves as the senior United States Senator from Indiana, a position he has held since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to the U.S.

Senate in November 2016, succeeding Dan Coats, and became Indiana's senior senator in January 2019. He was reelected in 2022. From 2019 to 2021, Senator Young chaired the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
