Mary Marsha Blackburn is the senior United States Senator from Tennessee, a position she has held since January 2021. First elected to the Senate in 2018, she became the first woman to represent Tennessee in the U.S.
Senate. A member of the Republican Party, Blackburn previously served in the United States House of Representatives for Tennessee's 7th congressional district from 2003 to 2019, and as a state senator from 1999 to 2003.
