Scott Ellsworth is an American writer and historian, currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Michigan since 2007. He is recognized for his award-winning narrative non-fiction works that delve into significant moments in American history, including the Civil War, the Lincoln assassination, and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Ellsworth earned his Ph.
D. in history from Duke University, following his undergraduate studies at Reed College.
