Sara Hooker is the Co-Founder of Adaption, a new venture she started in 2025. Prior to this, she led Cohere Labs, a research lab dedicated to solving complex machine learning problems and supporting frontier research in AI. In this role, she managed a team of research scientists and engineers.
Before her time at Cohere Labs, Hooker was a research scientist at Google Brain (now Deepmind) for five years, from July 2017 to June 2022.
