Sarah Jones Weicksel serves as the Executive Director of the American Historical Association. Her professional experience includes roles at the Smithsonian Institution, where she was a Research Fellow with the Committee on Institutional Cooperation, and as a Graduate Scholar-in-Residence at the Newberry Library.

Academically, Weicksel holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Arts (MA) in United States History.
