Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick is a Professor of Climate Science in the Fenner School of Environment and Society at ANU. She specializes in climate extremes and their projections in physical climate models, with a particular focus on heatwaves. Her research investigates the drivers of heatwaves, their future changes compared to historical records, and extreme event attribution, including isolating natural and anthropogenic components and attributing impacts.
