Sarah G. Phillips serves as a Professor of Global Conflict and Development and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow at The University of Sydney. Her research focuses on the intersection of international relations, security, development, and anthropology, drawing from extensive fieldwork in the Middle East and Africa. Her work explores topics such as international intervention, authoritarianism, non-state governance, and the production of knowledge about violence.
