Sarah Bartlett Churchwell is a Professor of American Literature and Public Understanding of the Humanities at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, a position she has held since 2015. She also serves as Professor of American Literature and Public Understanding of Humanities at the University of East Anglia, where she lectured from 1999 to 2015. Her research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century American literature and cultural history, particularly the 1920s and 1930s.
