Samaya Nissanke is a British astrophysicist who serves as a Lead Scientist at DESY and the German Centre for Astrophysics (DZA). She is also a Professor in Multi-Messenger Astrophysics at the University of Potsdam, and is affiliated with GRAPPA, University of Amsterdam.

Her career history includes serving as the Head of Multi-Messenger Astrophysics at Deutsches Zentrum FüR Astrophysik Ggmbh and as an International Fellow at Fias - Frankfurt Institute For Advanced Studies.
