Biography

Salam Fayyad is a Palestinian politician and economist with a distinguished career in public service and academia. He served as the first Prime Minister of Palestine from January to June 2013, and previously as the fourth Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority from 2007 until the post was replaced. Fayyad also held the position of Minister of Finance multiple times, from June to November 2005 and from March 2007 to May 2012.
