Saad M. Al-Kaabi serves as the current Minister of Energy in Qatar and is also the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, the state-owned energy company. His career in the energy sector began in 2001 when he joined Qatar Petroleum (QP).

Throughout his career, Al-Kaabi has held significant roles, including being seconded to RasGas (now QatarGas) in 2009, where he worked as a Senior Completion Engineer on the Barzan Onshore Gas Plant Project.
