Russ Buettner is an American investigative journalist currently working for The New York Times. In 2019, he and two colleagues received the Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting for an 18-month investigation into President Donald Trump’s finances. This work, which also earned him two George Polk Awards, debunked claims of self-made wealth and revealed a business empire marked by tax dodges.
