Douglas Rushkoff is an American media theorist, writer, professor, columnist, lecturer, graphic novelist, documentarian, and podcaster. He is a Professor of Media Studies and Activism at Queens College, where he also serves as Professor of Media Theory and Digital Economics at CUNY/Queens. Rushkoff is known for his association with early cyberpunk culture, his advocacy of open-source solutions to social problems, and his critique of technocapitalism.
