Ruben Stewart serves as the Senior Fellow for Land Warfare at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). In this role, he concentrates on understanding the character, conduct, and evolution of contemporary and future land warfare, approaching the subject as both a science and an art.

His research extends beyond equipment and technology to include the non-physical components that decisively shape outcomes in land conflict.
