Ronald G. Insana is an American finance reporter, author, and former hedge fund manager. He currently serves as a senior analyst and commentator at CNBC, a role he has held since 1991. Insana began his broadcasting career in 1984 as a production assistant at Financial News Network (FNN), rising to managing editor and chief of FNN's Los Angeles bureau before the network merged with CNBC.
