Biography

Rolf Strauch is the Chief Economist and a Management Board Member at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), the crisis fund for the euro area. He joined the ESM in 2010, contributing to its establishment and growth. In his role, he leads a team of over 50 economists, conducting economic and financial analysis, monitoring ESM countries, identifying risks, and proposing measures to safeguard financial stability in the euro area.
