Roger W. Ferguson, Jr. is an American economist, attorney, and corporate executive with a distinguished career spanning financial services, economic policy, and strategic consulting.
He is the former President and CEO of TIAA, a Fortune 100 financial services organization and a leading provider of retirement services. Prior to this, he served as the 17th Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S.
Federal Reserve System, becoming the first African-American to hold this position.
