Robin Dale Hanson is an American economist and author, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Economics at George Mason University. He was also a research associate at the Future of Humanity Institute of Oxford University. Hanson is recognized for his contributions to idea futures and markets, including the invention of market scoring rules like LMSR (Logarithmic Market Scoring Rule), which are utilized by prediction markets such as Consensus Point, where he served as Chief Scientist.
