Robert Sapolsky is the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Professor at Stanford University, holding joint appointments in Biological Sciences, Neurology & Neurological Sciences, and Neurosurgery. He is also a research associate with the Institute of Primate Research at the National Museum of Kenya. His extensive research focuses on neuroendocrinology, particularly how stress hormones can damage the brain, and the impact of chronic stress on the health of baboons.
