Biography

Sir Robert James Buckland KBE KC is a British politician and barrister. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Swindon from 2010 until 2024. During his parliamentary career, he held significant ministerial positions, including Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice from 2019 to 2021, and Secretary of State for Wales from July to October 2022. He was appointed a Privy Counsellor in 2019 and a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) in 2022.
