Robert David Atkinson is a Canadian-American economist and the president of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a public policy think tank based in Washington, D.C. He founded ITIF in 2006, which focuses on promoting policies based on innovation economics. Atkinson also serves as a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
