Biography

Robert Jacobsen Menendez Jr., born on July 12, 1985, is an American lawyer and politician. He has served as the U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 8th congressional district since 2023, representing the Democratic Party. He is the son of former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and Jane Jacobsen. Menendez is Cuban-American through his father, whose parents came to the United States in 1953.

Menendez was born in Englewood, New Jersey, and raised in Union City.
