Rick Santelli is an American on-air editor for the CNBC Business News network, a role he has held since June 14, 1999. He primarily reports from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. Before joining CNBC, Santelli was a Vice President for an institutional trading and hedge fund account, focusing on futures-related products. He earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1979.
