Richard Kauffman is the Chief Executive Officer of CGC, a $5 billion national non-profit funded by the U.S. Government, where he oversees the financing of clean energy projects.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Kauffman was the first New York State 'energy czar,' officially known as the Chairman of Energy and Finance for New York, a position he assumed in January 2013. He also served as Chair of Generate Capital, PBC, where he continues as a board member, and as Chairman of the Board at Nyserda.
