Richard Dawkins is a British evolutionary biologist, zoologist, science communicator, and author. He is an emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, and an Emeritus Professor at the University of Oxford. From 1995 to 2008, he held the position of the first Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science. Dawkins has received several accolades for his work, including the 2005 Shakespeare Prize and the 2006 Lewis Thomas Prize.
