Biography

Richard John Buttery is a British-American theoretical plasma physicist. He holds the position of Director of the DIII-D National Fusion Facility at General Atomics.

Buttery also serves as Vice President of the DIII-D National Fusion Program. He is recognized as a Fellow of the U.K. Institute of Physics and the U.S. American Physical Society.
