Born on August 27, 1961, in Como, Italy, Remo Ruffini grew up in a family deeply rooted in the clothing industry; his father, Gianfranco Ruffini, owned a clothing company in the US, and his mother, Enrica, also owned a clothing company. Ruffini began his career working for his father's company in the United States.
At 23, Ruffini returned to Italy and founded his own company, New England, which he later sold to Stefanel Group after sixteen years.
