Remco Breuker is a Dutch historian, author, academic, and translator specializing in Korea and Northeast Asia. He is currently a professor of Korean studies at Leiden University, a position he was promoted to in 2011.
His academic focus includes medieval Korean and Northeast Asian history, and contemporary North Korean affairs. Breuker's current research interests delve into exiles, human rights, forced labor (in the supply chain), and human trafficking, primarily in relation to North Korea.
