Reginald DesRoches is the eighth president of Rice University, a position he has held since July 1, 2022. In this role, he serves as the chief executive officer of the university, which includes over 8,800 students, eight schools, and more than 900 faculty. He also holds professorships in civil and environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering.
Under his leadership, DesRoches has initiated a period of strategic growth at Rice University.
