Rebecca Walker is an American writer, feminist, and activist, widely regarded as one of the prominent voices of Third Wave Feminism. She is credited with coining the term 'third wave' after publishing her 1992 Ms. magazine article, 'Becoming the Third Wave'.
Her writing, teaching, and speeches focus on race, gender, politics, power, and culture. In 1994, Time magazine recognized her as one of the 50 future leaders of America.
