Biography

Raymond Thomas Dalio, born August 8, 1949, is an American billionaire and hedge fund manager. He founded Bridgewater Associates in 1975 out of his two-bedroom apartment in New York City. Under his leadership, Bridgewater grew to become the largest hedge fund in the world by 2013. He currently serves as Founder, CIO Mentor, and a Member of the Bridgewater Board.

A global macro investor for over 50 years, Dalio is known for his investment philosophy and corporate management principles.
