Rania Llewellyn is a Kuwaiti-born Canadian banking executive. She is recognized for her nearly 30-year career in financial services, notably serving as the first woman to lead a major Canadian bank, Laurentian Bank, from October 2020 until her resignation in October 2023. She was educated at The American University in Cairo and Saint Mary's University, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA.
Llewellyn had an extensive 26-year career at Scotiabank, beginning as a part-time teller.
