Biography

Rania A. Al-Mashat is an Egyptian economist currently serving as the country's Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation. Prior to this role, she was Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation from December 2019 to July 2024 and Minister of Tourism from 2018 until December 2019. She made history as the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Tourism and was Egypt's youngest minister at the time of her appointment.
