Randal Keith Quarles is an American private equity investor and attorney, currently serving as Chairman of The Cynosure Group, a private investment firm he founded. He has over 40 years of experience spanning financial services, public service, and private equity. From 2017 to 2021, Quarles served as the first Vice Chair for Supervision of the Federal Reserve, a position created under the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial law. Concurrently, he chaired the Financial Stability Board from 2018 to 2021.
