Ralph Ossa is a Professor of Economics at the University of Zurich, where he holds a UBS Foundation Professorship. From January 2023 until June 2025, he served as Chief Economist of the World Trade Organization. His research focuses on international economics, with a particular emphasis on policy-relevant questions such as the economics of trade wars, trade talks, and the gains from international trade.
