Quinton Donald Lucas is an American politician, lawyer, and academic, currently serving as the 55th Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri. A member of the Democratic Party, he assumed office on August 1, 2019, becoming the youngest Kansas City mayor since 1855 and the city's third African-American mayor. Prior to his mayoral tenure, Lucas was a law professor at the University of Kansas School of Law and maintained a private legal practice.
