Tavus is dedicated to teaching machines to understand and communicate in a human-like manner, particularly through face-to-face interaction. The company develops best-in-class conversational video models, which it makes available to developers via API. Tavus has received backing from notable partners including Sequoia, Scale VC, and YC.

Prior to Tavus, Favret also co-founded Chime Menu.
