Pierre Thiam is a chef, author, and social activist recognized for bringing West African cuisine to the global fine-dining scene. He is the executive chef and co-founder of Teranga, a New York City-based fine-casual food chain that offers healthy, casual fare sourced directly from farmers in West Africa. Thiam also serves as the Executive Chef of Nok by Alara in Lagos, Nigeria, and is the Signature Chef of the five-star Pullman Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.
