Biography

Pierre Gramegna is the Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) since December 1, 2022, an institution focused on preventing and resolving crises within the euro area. He also serves as CEO of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF).

Prior to his current roles, Gramegna served as Luxembourg’s Minister for Finance from December 2013 to January 2022 under the Bettel I and II governments.
