Philip Hans Franses is a Dutch economist and a Professor of Applied Econometrics and Marketing Research at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He holds a prominent position at the Econometric Institute, Erasmus School of Economics, where he previously served as Dean from 2006 to 2019. His academic career also includes adjunct professorships at the University of Western Australia since 2001, Chiang Mai University since 2006, and Anton de Kom University of Suriname since 2008.
