Philip Lowe is an Australian economist known for his leadership in central banking and public policy. He served as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia from September 2016 to September 2023, overseeing the nation's monetary policy.

Prior to his tenure at the Reserve Bank of Australia, Lowe held a significant international role as Director General at the European Commission. He is also the owner of Columbus House Europe bv.
