Peter Gleick is an American hydrologist and climatologist who co-founded the Pacific Institute in Oakland, California, in 1987. He currently serves as President-emeritus and Senior Fellow at the Institute, an independent non-governmental research center dedicated to creating solutions for global water challenges. His work focuses on issues such as water and climate, water sustainability, the human right to water, and water, peace, and security.
