Peter Zaffino is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a position he assumed as CEO on March 1, 2021, and as Chairman of the board on January 1, 2022. He joined AIG in August 2017 as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Operating Officer. From September 2017 to August 2020, he was CEO of AIG's General Insurance business, the company's core property-casualty insurance unit.
