Peter Stone is an American computer scientist who holds the Truchard Foundation Chair of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has been a faculty member since 2002. He also serves as Chief Scientist of Sony AI since 2024. Stone earned his Ph.
D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998, following an M.S.
in 1995 from the same institution and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 1993.
