Peter Navarro is an American economist and government official currently serving as the Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing to U.S. President Donald Trump, a position he assumed in January 2025. He previously held this role during the first Trump administration, initially as the director of the White House National Trade Council and later as the director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy.
