Margaret "Peggy" Flanagan is an American politician and Ojibwe activist currently serving as the 50th Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota since 2019. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she was elected alongside Tim Walz in 2018 and reelected in 2022. Flanagan made history as the first woman of color elected to statewide office in Minnesota, and at the time of her initial election, she was the highest-ranking Native American woman to hold elected office in the country.
