Paul Michael Romer is an American economist and policy entrepreneur, recognized for his significant contributions to economic theory. He currently serves as a Seidner University Professor in Finance at Boston College. Romer co-received the 2018 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, shared with William Nordhaus, for his groundbreaking work in endogenous growth theory, which posits that technological change results from intentional actions of people.
