Rear-Admiral Sir Paul Woollven Greening (1928–2008) was a prominent figure in both the Royal Navy and the British Royal Household. Educated at Mowden School and the Nautical College at Pangbourne, he embarked on a distinguished naval career, joining the Royal Navy in 1946.
Throughout his service, Greening commanded several minesweepers, including HMS Asheldham, HMS Messina, and HMS Lewiston, as well as the frigate HMS Jaguar.
