Biography

Patrick Foulis is a Columnist and Contributing Editor at the Financial Times. He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Foulis is the author of a forthcoming book on the future of globalisation, which will be published by Penguin Random House.

Prior to his current roles, Foulis served as the Foreign Editor of The Economist from 2022 to 2025, where he was responsible for the publication's global coverage outside of the US and UK.
