Biography

Patrice H. Kunesh is an American attorney, academic, and government official of Standing Rock Lakota descent. She previously served as Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans, part of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Kunesh is a Visiting Professor at The University Of New Mexico School Of Law and a Non-Resident Fellow at The Brookings Institution. She also held a role in Development at the Native American Rights Fund.
